I look at some intense manifestations in American culture as indicative of breaking points along the human limits of the individual. Theres a powerful human psychological violence at the essence of the US culture that I’ve been working with. This was a central focus behind FAST, FASTER, FASTEST (American Attrition) and the two person show “waiting for a clean shot” I did with Noah Khoshbin at PARTICIPANT in NYC in the fall of 2006.
This idea of the script as a plan for the creation of a fictional reality is a central interest in these works. In instances where a viewer has seen the film, the script version of the scene can relate to a subjective mental recollection of the scene or film which is a kind of mental space that I like.
